PAE-1: Sustainability Coordination

Vision: Always consider energy, environment and community. Mission of the Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Advisory Committee: SEEAC is a University committee dedicated to advising the University President, the Executive Vice President, and the President's Cabinet on the best methods of integrating energy, environmental stewardship, sustainability principles, and community action into campus operations. It also advances the institution's engagement in sustainability, energy, and environment at the community, state, national, and global level.

The Office for Energy and the Environment unifies the diverse sustainability activities and groups on campus. The main focus is to further define CSU's activities in Sustainability, Energy, and the Environment. It acts as a link between student and faculty groups and the administration, as well as generating dynamic partnerships with other universities.

The responsibilities of the VP for Energy and the Environment include: Providing strategic leadership for approximately 200 energy/environment faculty at Colorado State and 300 energy/environment faculty at Ohio State; creating significant new opportunities for federal, state, industrial and philanthropic funding to support the energy and environment enterprise at both institutions; enhancing strategic partnerships, and state governments in Colorado and Ohio and key industrial partners; using national and international networks to establish global presence in the area of energy and environmental impact; developing enhanced profiles that will better position Colorado State as a key adviser on significant energy and environmental issues; as well as advising and enhancing sustainability efforts.
