A brief description of the technology used:
Main campus has started to use LED site lighting for parking lots and pedestrian walkways. It has also been used on various projects for outside egress door lighting and lighting in hard to reach places (for example the four story atrium of engineering 2). We have several beta sites where we are testing LED retrofits lands (to replace T8 bulbs) and also have several LED retrofit kits in site lighting with cobra heads. CSU also retrofit many classrooms with LED "tube lights" -which look like fluorescent tubes. We were testing the technology there. In response to that data, CSU has just allocated funding for over 200 LED lighting installations over the next two years.
