Does the institution allow commuters to cash out of parking spaces (i.e., it pays employees who do not drive to work)?:
Yes
None
A brief description of the program:
CSU goes beyond paying employees not to park on campus, by asking that everyone (students, faculty, staff, guests) pay for parking. Additionally, CSU hosts events to encourage alternative transportation, as well as hiring a dedicated Alternative transportation Coordinator to support faculty/staff and students who wish to opt out of purchasing a permit.
In this way, CSU has answered this question in the same way many of its fellow STARS reporters have including (but not limited to): Oregon State University, University of Arizona, and University of California - Santa Barbara.
