Data source(s) and notes about the submission:
As a public state institution, Colorado State University has investments with both the Colorado State Treasury Department (65.19% of holdings) and the CSU Foundation (34.81% of holdings). The Colorado Treasury Department is responsible for investing most of the state's cash and managing the related investments. Currently the Department manages more than $6.5 billion in more than 750 funds. For efficiency and in order to increase investment yield, most of the monies from General Fund, state agencies, and political subdivisions of the state are pooled for investment purposes (this includes Colorado State University). Some funds are managed separately under distinct investment policies. A detail listing of the investments held by the State Treasury are included in the PDF loaded here and can be viewed publicly at under Treasury Pool Detail at: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/treasury/investment-portfolio (please note that the website will always show the latest report, which is updated on a quarterly basis). Our calculations for this credit and associated attached reports are a snapshot as of June 30, 2016 (the end of our most recent fiscal year). The CSU Foundation makes an Investment Holdings Snapshot that includes asset allocations publicly available at http://webcms.colostate.edu/foundation/media/sites/96/2016/09/CSUF-invstmt-policy_2016.pdf.
