A brief description of the sustainable operations and maintenance policy/program and/or O+M rating system(s) used:
All CSU buildings are tracked in EnergyCAP, a utility database management software platform. Over 170 of CSU's buildings are additionally tracked in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager. ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager is an EPA online tool organizations can use to measure and track energy and water consumption. It can be used to benchmark the performance of one building or a whole portfolio of buildings, all in a secure online environment. CSU buildings that are eligible have received an ENERGY STAR score, with almost 1 million square feet of buildings further earning ENERGY STAR Certification.

CSU monitors all their building utility use through EnergyCAP and more than 170 buildings in the ENERGY STAR platform as well. These tools allow us to watch for anomalies that could indicate a problem. In addition, the vast majority of buildings are equipped with "smart meters" that provide real time interval data. This allows for even more detail that we use as a diagnostic tool in solving building issues. It can also be used to flag for problems like water leaks.
