A brief description of the campus-community council or equivalent body that gives external stakeholders a regular voice in institutional decisions that affect them:
UniverCity is a collaboration co-sponsored by Colorado State University, City of Fort Collins, Downtown Development Authority, and the Bohemian Foundation. Since 2006, UniverCity has been a catalyst for public participation and has sought community input from municipal, academic, business, residential, and nonprofit community stakeholders to help strengthen connections between Downtown Fort Collins, Colorado State University, and the Poudre River. Projects have included preservation of the Poudre River, transportation and mobility, inclusivity and community, arts and culture, sustainable energy, and homelessness. https://univercityconnections.org
Each year, the City of Fort Collins and Colorado State University's Center for Public Deliberation collaborate to host the Community Issues Forum. Through small group discussions with policy makers and residents throughout the community, feedback and input are provided on ordinances, decisions, and taxes.
