The JMSB Sustainable Scoop is a quarterly JMSB publication aimed at bringing awareness to students, and the Concordia community, about sustainable best business practices especially within the Montreal business sector and surrounding areas. Companies/organizations want to demonstrate what is leading the way in sustainable initiatives/best practices and they want students to know

Additionally, the student group Sustainable Concordia sends out a bi-monthly newsletter to inform subscribers about events such as workshops, speaker series, conferences etc., internships, volunteer opportunities and other happenings within the organisation and the larger community that relate to sustainability

The Concordia Food Systems Project has a blog that demonstrates how the project brings together students, faculty and staff to facilitate a transition to a more sustainable food system for all.
Additionally, the soon to be opened Hive Cafe (http://hivecafe.concordia.ca/) has sustainable food systems at the centre of its development plan. Additionally, the Sustainable Food Festival website had a section on food sovereignty in Montreal.

This guide shed light on what Concordia is doing to move towards a more sustainable future. The SEG isn’t just for Concordia events - planners from other universities or organizations will also find suggestions of what to look for when putting on an event.

DOCSE Distinguished Speakers Series: Hearing leading scholars and thought leaders in any field inspires researchers to consider greater possibilities in their own research. To assist with the inspiration of our faculty and students, the David O'Brien Centre for Sustainable Enterprise (DOCSE) has established the Distinguished Speaker Series. Our goal is to consistently bring in top scholars in all aspect of the field of sustainable enterprise, who are able to speak to both academic researchers and practicing managers. By finding such speakers, not only does DOCSE advance knowledge, but we also change practice. Video of previous speakers is available online.
