A brief description of the sustainability-focused immersive experience(s) offered by the institution:
Through the Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program, Concordia offers an opportunity to engage in a sustainability-focused experiences overseas. The most developed program is the CVAP program in Uganda. This program focuses on local agricultural development, sustainable practices, and social programs. This past summer, Concordia built a compound which will now house the university's programs there. The buildings were designed by Concordia engineering and design profs and students, and have solar and water systems for power and conservation.
