A brief description of the institution’s sustainability partnerships with the local community:
We have co-hosted events together, shared our expertise & experiences in the form of trainings, as well as engaged in some joint projects such as developing a listing of environmental indicators we found relevant to use on our campuses and piloted indicator frameworks. We meet regularly with our Quebec networks to discuss best practices and share information, for example about legislation effecting us all and strategized on how we will adress the requirements. We have produced and shared guides such as our guide to industrial composting or planning sustainable events. Partners include: EcoQuartier Peter-McGill, Alternatives, Action Communiterre, Ville de Montreal, English Montreal School Board, Jon Bosco School, Royal Vale School, Community Learning Centers of Quebec, Regroupement des jardins collectifs du Quebec, NDG Food Depot, Montreal Permaculture Guild, Equiterre Campus Crops McGill, Concordia University Research Exchange, Concordia Volunteer Abroad Program, Velo Quebec, Le Petit Velo Rouge, La Voie Libre/Right to Move, West Island Re-adaptation Center, Pro-Vert Sud Ouest, Design 1 Habitat, Merck Frost, Coalition environmental des etudiants de Montreal, Burrittoville, Jugo Juice, Cultures, Java U.
