A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Cornell worked as a leader and an advocate to change NY utilities' net-metering tariffs and regulatory interpretation through the Public Service Commission. In partnership with the New York State Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA), Cornell formed a coalition of NY solar developers and customers to reform utility interconnection practices for distributed generation of renewable energy through the Department of Public Service. Cornell engaged State leadership and moved the adoption of new policy, known as the "Cornell Ruling", forward.
