A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
We are working towards all hybrids and electric vehicles when they are available for the vehicle types we use.
- There is interest in expanding the number of EV FM Trade vehicles as the conventional vehicles complete their life cycle, however supply chain delays have caused limited supply and long delays. Some Trade fleet vehicles are not eligible for EV transition as the technology has not yet advanced enough to accommodate the workload (i.e., vehicles used for plowing).
