A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
Cornell benefits from the Ithaca Bikeshare is a program within the Center for Community Transportation, a locally-operated non-profit supporting transportation in Tompkins County. Cornell University works closely with CCT and Ithaca Bikeshare to ensure that bikes are available on campus and there are appropriate places for community members to leave and pick up bikes on campus.

All Cornell employees enrolled in the RideShare (car pooling) program receive discounted parking fees as an incentive to share the ride. The membership also provids a free "Just In Case" option in case if emergency arises transportation is provided.

Cornell University is purchasing full or partially subsidized memberships for eligible employees and students with Ithaca Carshare. https://www.ithacacarshare.org/rates/cornell/
Ithaca Carshare is a membership service offering 24/7 self-serve access to fuel-efficient cars, minivans, and trucks located in Ithaca, NY. Ithaca Carshare also currently has roaming agreements with thirteen other carshares. Costs vary, but Ithaca Carshare members can drive in many of these cities by paying nothing more than usage fees. Four of the 23 Ithaca Carshare vehicles are located on the Cornell campus.

Carshare was shutdown in May 2023 due to auto insurance issue. THe issue has been resolved and they plan to reopen in March 2024

We have several spaces within both parking garages reserved for Low Emission Vehicle (LEV) and Alternative Fuel vehicle parking. These specially-assigned and painted stalls are intended for permit-holders with cars that meet the standard set by the Green Building Council.

Ten Level Two dual-port ChargePoint EV charging stations are available on campus including the third level of the Forest Home parking garage, first level of the Hoy Road parking garage, the Hoy Baseball field, and Thurston Hall. Spaces are first-come, first-served, and time- and permit-restricted.

Cornell University, the largest employer in Tompkins County, contributes $200,000 per year to the Tompkins County Affordable Housing Fund to assist people employed in Tompkins County in purchasing proximal housing, that might otherwise be out of reach.

Employee Unlimited Bus Ride CU ID Card Privileges-
Employees (including temporary employees and affiliates) and retirees can ride anywhere TCAT Bus goes (Cornell pays the fare (normally $1.50). This unlimited ride privilege allows employees more flexibility in planning their commute and can help reduce the number of vehicles on campus.
Faculty/staff spouse/partners with a CU ID card receive unlimited rides on TCAT night routes 90, 92, and 93.
Student CU ID Card Privileges-
All registered students enrolled in a degree program receive free, unlimited rides on all TCAT buses after 6 p.m. weekdays, and anytime Saturday and Sunday.
New-to-Cornell students automatically receive discounted OmniRide privileges for unlimited TCAT privileges in their first year as a matriculated student in a degree program. Privileges expire annually on August 31 for Fall entrants and December 31 for Spring entrants.
Students not New-to-Cornell can purchase OmniRide privileges at myparking.cornell.edu.Continuing education students and student spouse/partners with a CU ID card receive unlimited rides on TCAT night routes 90, 92, and 93.
