The operational characteristics are from Spring 2021. The square footage for laboratory space, healthcare space, and other energy intensive space was determined following this credit guidance and definitions following the Space Use Codes in the US Department of Education's Postsecondary Education Facilities Inventory and Classification Manual. Laboratory square footage includes all spaces dedicated for specialized education equipment. Healthcare square footage includes all campus health centers and the Veterinary Technology Program facilities at the Cedar Valley Campus. All other energy intensive square footage includes spaces with specialized building operations technology, spaces with information technology supporting internet infrastructure, and spaces with energy intensive equipment for example employee break rooms with refrigerators, ice machines and microwaves.
