A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
During Dickinson's bi-weekly required new employee orientation, recently hired employees learn about sustainability practices and services during an organizational overview of the college provided by Human Resource Services.
As part of this new employee orientation, participants are taken on a tour of the campus that highlights our seven LEED-certified buildings, examples of our commitment to carbon neutrality, campus sustainability-focused living laboratory opportunities, and other current sustainability initiatives.
Employees are offered opportunities to become more involved with sustainability practices through programs both on campus and in the local community by connecting with the Center for Sustainability Education after the new hire orientation.
