A brief description of the institution’s wellness and/or employee assistance program(s):
Dickinson’s Wellness Center provides integrated healthcare to Dickinson College students in service to the individual and college community needs. In order to foster student wellbeing, services are aimed at the prevention and treatment of illness, as well as the maintenance and promotion of health. Services include counseling and psychiatric services, health services and nutrition services. These student-centered services are provided in ways that recognize, respect, and value the diversity of the student body toward an end goal of enhancing the wellbeing of every student. https://www.dickinson.edu/homepage/138/wellness_center.
Dickinson’s Employee Wellness Program (Wellness@Dickinson), established in 2006, provides fitness, nutrition and wellbeing programs for all employees and their families. A variety of exercise classes are offered year-round and are promoted through annual fall and spring fitness challenges. Nutrition program sessions are offered throughout the year on a variety of topics. Preventive health programs for employees include biometric screenings, health risk assessments, access to EAP services and seasonal flu vaccinations. Incentives are provided to promote participation in the programs, which are made convenient for employees through a variety of scheduling options. Since the inception of our wellness initiative, Dickinson has been recognized as a Platinum-level Fit-Friendly Worksite from the American Heart Association. Additionally, in 2020, Aetna/CVS Health recognized Wellness@Dickinson as an Above & Beyond Workplace Well-being Silver. http://www.dickinson.edu/homepage/86/employee_wellness.

Services are offered in-person, telephonic and online through two providers. Services provided include mental health coaching, life coaching, legal and financial consultation, work-life referrals, personal assistant referrals and medical advocacy.
