Please note that assured reports are still subject to review by AASHE staff prior to publication, which may require additional revisions. AASHE reserves the right to withhold points for this credit if it is determined that the assurance process was clearly unsuccessful in identifying and resolving inconsistencies or errors (e.g., when AASHE staff identify a significant number of issues that were either not mentioned in the completed review template or not resolved successfully).

A brief description of the institution’s assurance process:
Douglas College's assurance process had two phases:
1) Internal quality check
In this phase, an internal STARS Steering Committee from Douglas College conducted a detailed review of the submission to fix any typos, grammatical errors, and data/information inconsistencies. Members of the Steering Committee from Douglas College included:
- Dave Taylor, VP Public Affairs
- Regan Lal, Director, Marketing & Communications
- Chris Gardner, Director, Facilities & Ancillary Services
- Louie Girotto, Associate Director, Physical Plant Services
- Declan Walsh, Manager, Supply Chain
- Sarah Lock, Executive Assistant, Public Affairs

2) External audit
Following step 1, the formal reporting assurance process took place, which involved a review by the staff from the University of the Fraser Valley listed above. The results of that review is captured in the attached STARS Review Template and Statement of Affirmation.
