The bicycle commuters are invited to use lockers and shower facilities at the University Power Center - a gym available to all staff, faculty, and students. Secure bicycle storage is available at bike racks around campus and at Des Places.

Duquesne University hosts a station of the City of Pittsburgh's Healthy Ride Bike Share program. Additionally, Duquesne has a campus advocacy group - Duquesne Bicycle Club - that collaborates with private and public entities and public safety and university officials create and promote a bicycle friendly campus and bicycle safety.

A brief description of the mass transit programs:
Duquesne University offers shuttle service between campus and South Side for students, faculty and staff. The shuttle bus has seating for 25, offering South Side resident students a convenient and inexpensive way to get to class, study sessions and other events. The bus operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and arrives at Duquesne approximately every 15-20 minutes. Students and faculty must have a valid shuttle bus permit ($75/semester). Though the shuttle is $75, it is a reduced price in comparison to the Pittsburgh Port Authority bus rate ($97.50/month or about $390/semester).
