A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
Since fall 2017, the University Sustainability Manager has provided cases of printed brochures about the "ECU Sustainability Program" to the Human Resources Department on an as-needed basis. The HR Department provides new employee training and materials during a two-day onboarding workshop that is offered about every two weeks throughout the year. Rather than taking an hour out of my day twice per month, I can just give them the brochure which highlights campus sustainability accomplishments and includes links for faculty and staff to learn additional information and how to get involved within their own department.
