Does the institution have a bicycle-sharing program or participate in a local bicycle-sharing program?:
No

A brief description of the bicycle sharing program:
ECU had a contract with Lime prior to COVID-19. After that contract ended, we had presentations from multiple companies, but the administration would not allow e-scooters so no company was willing to come to our campus. Following the pandemic, we worked very hard to secure a deal with Ride to bring their electric bikes to campus. The program operated for 2 weeks before the City requested restrictions to the operation. Ride complied with the additional restrictions (e.g. no operations from 11pm to 5am, required to wear a helmet, and limited the operating boundaries) but the University's administration ultimately shut down the program and cancelled the contract.

The spaces where Electric Vehicle charging stations are located are at the front of lots and closest to the buildings those parking lots serve.

Does the institution have one or more Level 2 or Level 3 electric vehicle recharging stations that are accessible to student and employee commuters?:
Yes

None
A brief description of the electric vehicle recharging stations:
ECU now has 9 dual-port ChargePoint Level 2 EV Chargers on campus that have a capacity to charge 18 vehicles at a time and 36 vehicles per workday. Anyone with a valid ECU parking permit can use these charging stations for free and vehicles are required to be moved once fully charged or prior to the 4-hour time limit. Three of the EV Charging Stations are located in visitor parking spaces too.

Does the institution have incentives or programs to encourage employees to live close to campus?:

Does the institution have other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting?:
Yes

A brief description of other programs or initiatives to encourage more sustainable modes of transportation and/or reduce the impact of student and employee commuting:
Our office is proud to offer bicycle clinics on campus so that any ECU faculty, staff and student that has a bike can enjoy the benefits of services provided during onsite workshops to include:

- Brake Adjustments
- Tire Inspections
- Lubrication of Chains

The workshops will be held on Fridays from 10am to 12pm in front of the Student Recreation Center. If it's raining, we'll provide the services on the loading dock at the back of the Student Recreation Center. The fall workshops will run during the months of September - November and the spring workshops will run from March - May.
