Mindful ECU - ECU Human Resources is excited to announce the launch of a new Wellness Initiative program. ECU will be partnering with the company Mindful to provide content developed to support and sustain your well being. Our ultimate goal with the program is to provide our employees with helpful resources and support to combat the stress and anxiety we’ve experienced over the past year. Each month we will have a specific theme with content handpicked by Mindful to support you.
Faculty and Staff Assistance Program - Life’s pressures and challenges can be difficult to handle alone. ECU partners with ComPsych to provide Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FASAP) benefits for faculty and staff employed by the university, as well as their immediate family members.
ComPsych has a proven track record of delivering high-quality, innovative services supported by best-in-class customer service. By partnering with ComPsych, ECU provides these counseling and resources to help you and your family when you need it the most.
Teleworking - ECU recognizes that its employees may be searching for ways to achieve better work-life balance, reduce commuting costs, or address other issues that affect their ability to work onsite at university facilities or work traditional work schedules. As such, University managers have the ability to utilize flexible work arrangements to meet departmental needs while at the same time providing enhanced flexibility to employees.

Employee Well-Being Institute (EWI) - These sessions are open to all SHRA, EHRA, and CSS employees and are designed to provide ECU employees with an opportunity to unleash the five essential elements of well-being. The goal of the EWI is for participants to incorporate new healthful habits into their daily lives. We are here to help you THRIVE! Five Elements of Well-Being:
Career – How you occupy your time during the day and is it fulfilling.
Social – The quality of relationships in your life.
Financial – Your financial security.
Physical – Being able to live an independent life
Community – Feeling safe and involved in giving back to your community
The course will be taught on the principles of Discover, Explore, Live. The EWI is a 6-week program that meets in-person weekly on Wednesdays and will consist of interactive class experiences and discussions. Through the exploration process, our hope is participants will adopt practices that will become a part of their daily life, become Well-Being Champions for the University, and promote well-being to others through their lived experiences.
