A brief description of the facilities for bicycle commuters:
Emerson College offers two bike parking spaces for members of its community who require a secure space to lock their bikes. Shower facilities and lockers are located in our gym, which is open to all students, staff and faculty.

Emerson College offers two indoor heated and secured bike parking spaces for members of its community who require a secure space to lock their bikes. More than 120 bikes can be stored comfortably inside the two centralized locations.

The campus participates in the local Hubway bike sharing program, which has bike rental and return stations throughout the city and surrounding neighborhoods. Three stations are located on the campus border.

Emerson partners with MassRides for the guaranteed return trip program for those that use alternative transit. Users are eligible to use the guaranteed return trip for:
- Illness or crisis of the participant or that of a family member
- Unexpected request of supervisor to work past regular schedule without advance notice
- Driver of carpool or vanpool had to leave due to an emergency, leaving you without a ride home
The Guaranteed Ride Home is not meant for:
- Personal errands, pre-planned medical appointments
- Work-related travel
- Working late without manager’s request
- Early departures due to weather conditions
Users may take a taxi, app ride (e.g. Uber, Lyft) or another service and submit their receipts to our HR department for reimbursement from MassRides.
Carpool/Vanpool Programs

Emerson participates in NuRide, a ride sharing service supported by Mass Department of Transportation. Emerson employees can enter their pick up and drop off commuting location into NuRide's database and find ride sharing partners nearby that follow the same commuting schedule. Participants are rewarded with points for carpooling and using public transit. Points can be redeemed for restaurant coupons, retailer discounts, and tickets to shows & attractions.
