EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
There are times when personal problems such as family issues, emotional distress, substance abuse, child/elder care issues can negatively impact your health and well-being. To assist in coping with these problems, the College offers benefit eligible employees access to services from E4 Health EAP free of charge.
E4 Health EAP - Employee Assistance Program
E4 Health's EAP program includes voluntary, confidential counseling service staffed by trained professionals is available to provide you with initial assessment, referrals and short-term counseling. Covered employees and eligible family members may have up to 3 consultations per year. This service is available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 365 days/year.
In addition, E4 Health provides informational, resource, and referral services to assist you in balancing the stresses of work and family life. Topics include child and elder care, adoption, relocation, becoming a parent, and many more. Other resources include legal assistance and tax preparation assistance.
Students:
Emerson College Counseling and Psychological Services (ECAPS) is an integral part of the Emerson community, providing services to both undergraduate and graduate students. It is accredited by the International Association of Counseling Services.
Senior staff members consult regularly with the Residence Life staff and other College personnel regarding their questions and concerns about student behavior. Senior staff and trainees also provide outreach programming for students and staff members on a variety of topics (e.g., stress management, relationships, and computer addiction).We offer brief individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and the option of group therapy. When appropriate, we also provide referrals to outside agencies/clinicians for longer term therapy and/or psychiatric evaluation.
