A brief description of any internal sustainability professional development and training opportunities that the institution makes available to non-academic staff:
The Campus Sustainability Manager and Sustainability Committee members host workshops during departmental meetings to bring awareness to Emerson's climate commitment and demonstrate areas for engagement. For instance, the Sustainability Committee offered a presentation to Institutional Advancement when the department moved to a new building.

Campus Services regularly distributes videos and informational sheets to encourage sustainable behavior. Most recently, one page informational sheets where distributed on recycling to decrease contamination rates.

A brief description of any external professional development and training opportunities in sustainability that are supported by the institution :
Emerson has sponsored the National Wildlife Federation's EcoCareers Virtual Conference, which allows anyone from the Emerson community to access the conference for free. The conference provides information on the latest EcoCareer trends from leading analysts and employers, clarifying career enhancing credentials and academic offerings, and formulating a better understanding of the competencies employers seek in the green sector.
