Does the institution have an ongoing program or programs that offer incentives for faculty in multiple disciplines or departments to develop new sustainability courses and/or incorporate sustainability into existing courses?:
Yes

A brief description of the program(s), including positive outcomes during the previous three years (e.g. descriptions of new courses or course content resulting from the program):
Evergreen faculty create new inter-disciplinary, team-taught curriculum each year. As a supplement to that process, faculty summer institutes are provided for faculty development in areas of interest. Sustainability and Justice is commonly a theme of at least one summer institute. The purpose of this institute is to develop faculty skills and shared knowledge in order to improve our collaboration, ability to plan interdisciplinary curriculum together, and a shared sense of community. Each year, new courses are designed to address real-world issues such as: climate change, food systems, cultural survival, racial and economic justice, applied ecology, and green business. These courses explore possibilities for reinventing social, economic and physical structures, and reinvigorating the natural world that supports us all.

A brief description of the incentives that faculty members who participate in the program(s) receive:
The institutes are open to all faculty members, regardless of discipline. Participating faculty focus in on the development of themes and ideas for new future classes. Faculty participants are compensated $125/day for their participation.
