For the current year (2018-2019), based on our IPEDS fall quarter snapshot, average salary for an adjunct teaching a 4-credit course for 1 quarter is $5624.
This does not necessarily reflect the average compensation, only salary, since the benefits eligibility varies considerably across adjuncts depending on number of credits, number of quarters, age, etc.
