Kill-a-Watt Challenge

A brief description of the campaign(s):
The Kill-a-Watt Challenge is an energy conservation competition that has been held in 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009. The competition is held among the 11 on-campus apartment buildings that make up North Village, housing juniors and seniors. Buildings compete against each other over a period of 4 to 8 weeks, and the building with the highest percentage reduction in energy use (compared to the building-specific baseline) wins a prize.

Over the four years the competition has been conducted, the buildings have saved on average approximately 5% compared to the baseline, as calculated by real purchased electricity data.
