The Legacy Peer Mentorship Program offers freshmen access to mentors who will not only help them with the initial adjustment to University life, but who will also be available as resources throughout their college experience. Mentors help freshmen learn the skills needed to make smart decisions, and freshmen receive a head start on becoming an involved member of the community. Events include the Multicultural Welcome Event in early September and Free-Style Fridays to create social connections.

A brief description of the institution’s discrimination response policy, program and/or team:
All reported/witnessed incidents related to harassment, sexual misconduct, discrimination and acts of intolerance are investigated immediately, with the health and safety of individuals being addressed simultaneously and ensuring appropriate accommodations are provided.
The Vice President for Student Life initiates a crisis response team when acts of intolerance occur. The composition of the team includes representatives from: VP for Student Life-chair, AVP/Dean of Students, and AVP for Student Development (oversight for Student Diversity and Inclusion), Religious Life, Marketing and Public Relations, University Diversity Committee, Student Government and any student organizations directly affected by the incident, and Academic Affairs. This group outlines plans for support, communications and response which are recommended to the University President for final review.
