A brief description of each certified dining hall or food service outlet, including the year the certification was achieved and/or renewed:
A student-led effort to reduce food waste resulted in a partnership between Furman's dining service provider and a local non-profit called Loaves and Fishes. The Food Recovery Network recognized the program as Food Recovery Verified in 2017. Students can also donate their end-of-year Pden Points (meal credits) to the Loaves and Fishes local food recovery program.
