Furman faculty and staff participated in the Chronicle of Higher Education's Great Colleges to Work For survey conducted by Modern Think that measures campus culture. Faculty and staff responded to 75 multiple-choice questions and two open-ended questions, which measure 16 different areas.

These survey results were used to address areas such as evaluation, compensation, professional development, employee recognition, and communication.
