2. Weston Dripps (Furman University), Brooke Hanson (University of South Florida), Raghu Raghavan (University of Missouri), Dan Sklarew (George Mason University) “Integration of the SDGs Across Curricular / Co-Curricular Programs: Shared Best Practices”
Together with SC DHEC, Wes Dripps presented a talk entitled “USDE Green Ribbon Schools in South Carolina” at the “Zoom into Environmental Education: SEEA/EEASC 2020 Virtual Conference”. Furman is the first and currently only higher education institution in South Carolina to receive a US Department of Education Green Ribbon School Designation.

Furman developed a student run bike shop that was submitted for an AASHE student sustainability award - "Up-cycling: Creating a Biking Campus Culture".
Furman submitted an application for a NACUBO sustainability award for its Weatherization Program (The Community Conservation Corps) "Carbon On-Setting: Community Impact through Home Weatherization"
Furman submitted an application for an international Green Gown award "Carbon On-Setting: Community Impact through Home Weatherization in Greenville, SC, USA"

As a part of the Southeastern Sustainability Network, Furman participates in monthly group calls and the group maintains cloud-based site for resource sharing. We frequently serve as mentors for each other where experience and skills allow.
Furman is part of a four university consortium supported by the Duke Endowment (Duke University, Davidson University, Johnson C Smith University, and Furman University). Through this consortium the sustainability directors of the four schools have collaborated and supported each other's sustainability efforts.
