A brief description of how sustainability is included prominently in new student orientation:
George Mason University's (Mason) Office of Sustainability has been involved in orientation in various ways in the past few years. It has trained orientation leaders about sustainability efforts on campus; trained resident advisors about sustainability progams that their residents could participate in; attended orientation dinners for all incoming freshman and transfer students to promote sustainability programs and organizations; staffed a table during Welcome Week for freshmen and transfer students; and will provide University 100 classes with a sustainability module.
