A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory (including the types of faculty and staff included as researchers):
The head count was from a list of faculty members who conduct sustainability scholarly research from the Office of Research & Economic Development. Additionally, a list of faculty members whose research supports one of the 10 principles of the UN Global Compact was used to find sustainability scholars. Researchers were included in the head count if they conducted sustainability and human rights research. Both lists were audited to remove any adjunct faculty, affiliate faculty, staff members, and faculty members no longer at Mason.
