A brief description of the institution’s employee community service initiatives:
Full-time classified employees and administrative/professional faculty have up to 16 hrs of paid leave per year to volunteer with eligible nonprofit organizations or through authorized school assistance. Some volunteer opportunities include donating blood, service projects through organizations, on-campus volunteer opportunities, and volunteering with a fire department or rescue squad. Employees that decide to use these hours to volunteer with fire departments or rescue squads can receive up to 24 hrs of paid leave per year.

Data for FY16. The number of students engaged in community service was based on responses to the 2015 National Survey of Student Engagement. Number of student community service hours were total hours received by multiple departments on campus.
