A brief description of the institution’s bicycle program, including the year the award was achieved and/or renewed:
As a Bicycle Friendly university since 2011, George Mason University encourages all students, faculty and staff to bike on campus. Mason has over 1300 bike parking spots on campus, bike pumps, fix-it stations, and partners with Capital Bikeshare. Additionally, the university provides incentives if bike riders register their bike and/or rides at least eight times per month.
