Mason's Housing and Residence Life has recycled mattress in the last four years, with over 64,000 pounds of mattresses recycled during the summer of 2016 alone through A Wider Circle, an organization providing basic necessities to individuals without. With a replacement rate of 650 mattress every year, Mason is currently looking for additional organizations to reuse and recycled used mattresses.
