A brief description of the methodology the institution followed to complete the research inventory:
The Office of Institutional Effectiveness and Planning provided the number of full-time and part-time employees engaged in research. The Institute for a Sustainable Earth maintains a list of affiliated employees who conduct research on campus. Each of these affiliated employees work on sustainability research that has received internal and/or external funding. ISE uses the UN Sustainable Development Goals for guidance on how it defines sustainability. The director of ISE confirmed that each affiliated employee is actively engaged in sustainability related research.
