A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for institution-generated materials:
Electronics represent a special disposal concern to the state for two reasons: some components are classified as hazardous and the equipment of others may contain sensitive or security-related information. Surplus Property has a contract to pick up any accumulation of electronics from any state agency and dispose of it through complete de-manufacturing (shredding). A brief description of the electronic waste recycling program for student-generated materials :
Students are encouraged to recycle their electronic waste at EarthDay, when on campus ewaste recycling is conducted. During the rest of the year, information on local ewaste recycling programs is availble to direct students to locations for ewaste recycling. Battery recycling is available year round on campus.
