Electricity Day: Invest in Our Campuses - This seminar was cohosted in 2023 by the Office of Sustainability at Georgia Tech, Georgia State, Kennesaw State, and University of Georgia. The free seminar was open to all GT staff and was geared towards energy/infrastructure influencers and campus decision makers. The seminar highlighted pathways to reducing electric utility costs to allow savings to be reinvested into other core missions.
Sustainable Facilities Forum - The Sustainable Facilities Forum is an annual event that highlights innovative practices and campus partnerships that create a built environment focused on improving human and environmental well-being. This annual knowledge-sharing event features Georgia Tech staff and faculty highlighting best practices in improving how we plan, build and maintain a sustainable university campus. Hosted by the Facilities Management Sustainability Committee, the entire campus community is welcome to attend. The last Sustainable Facilities Forums were hosted in 2022 and 2021. http://facilities.gatech.edu/sustainable-facilities-forum.
Tours of The Kendeda Building for Innovative Sustainable Design – All non-academic staff can schedule a guided tour of Georgia Tech’s Living Buidling, through which they can gain valuable insight into how they can apply regenerative design, construction, and operation principles into their focus areas on campus.

The Georgia Tech Strategic Plan is used as a tool to set performance goals in employee evaluations. Staff are evaluated on institute value-based goals that incorporate community, well-being, stewardship, and sustainability. Departments have goals related to sustainability integrated into their performance reviews and employees can set development goals in areas of their choosing.
