The baseline was adopted to show trends so that corrective actions could be established to reduce workplace injuries. The date was selected to be consistent with GHG baseline.

The college conducts annual safety training for its employees - required for all custodial, grounds, and maintenance employees; as well as all lift operators. The college conducts an annual inspection of all workplace areas including academic spaces and provides a report to each area identifying deficiencies and remedies to the situation.
