A brief description of the institution’s professional development opportunities on sustainability in the curriculum:
Humber College offered a virtual workshop titled ‘The Land teaches Us: (Re)storying Pedagogy and Practice Through Etuaptmumk.’ The purpose of the workshop was to inspire academic staff in institutions all over North America to incorporate land-based play, Indigenous perspectives, and sustainability values into their own courses. Through both Indigenous and non-Indigenous perspectives, Two-Eyed Land-based play and co-learning supports the growth of respectful, reciprocal and responsible relationships with places, plant-life and animals for the benefit of all.
