A brief description of the institution’s employee community service initiatives:
Various departments and programs include community service activity as part of team building exercises and trainings. Supervisors typically strongly encourage optional involvement in these activities. Countless HSU staff and faculty are additionally involved in community volunteer and service opportunities, including nonprofit Boards of Directors, jurisdictional task forces, Service Clubs, etc. HSU is also recognized annually as one of the leading institutions across the nation providing Peace Corps members.
