In the case of the Barcelona and Madrid campuses, IESE requested Guarantees of Origin (GdO) from the electricity supplier, as proof that the electricity consumed was generated from renewable energy sources.
The entity responsible for issuing and managing the Guarantees of Origin in the national territory (Spain) is the National Commission for Markets and Competition (CNMC).
The information on GdO's acquired has been verified by the company "Grup Carles" (responsible for calculating the Carbon Footprint of IESE). Additionally, as documented in the credit OP-1, the calculation of the Carbon Footprint was verified by an external company (SGS Tecnos), which also verified the existence of GdO's.
