A brief description of the source of non-potable water and how it is used:
ISU uses non-potable water currently in the bathrooms of the Biorenewables Research Laboratory (BRL). The water comes from rooftop rain collection as well as footing tile. In addition, two other campus buildings, Hach Hall and State Gym, will soon be implementing similar technologies. Also, ISU's golf course is irrigated with non-potable water. However, non-potable water usage is not metered on campus.
