Due to different building uses and occupancies, Iowa State University does not track the energy, electricity, or thermal energy consumption reductions as a result of retrofits and renovations. Also, while the university does include energy as a piece of whole building improvement, renovations typically are done with a focus on LEED certification versus Energy Star labeling.
