A brief description of how sustainability is included in new employee orientation:
New employee orientation highlights several sustainability resources at Iowa State University. Each new staff member receives information about facilities services, including our single-stream recycling and minimize waste/maximize diversion initiatives. Sustainability is also infused into discussions during orientation, which detail the employee assistance program, campus wellness and recreation resources, and sustainable food options available via ISU Dining. Employees are also provided with information regarding university child care, ride sharing programs, and several continuing education opportunities related to personal health and finance.
