A brief description of the innovative policy, practice, program, or outcome:
Ithaca College Dining Services, its corporate partner Sodexo, and Ithaca College Facilities embarked upon an ambitious comprehensive dining energy initiative. This dining energy project brought together representatives of dining services, facilities, student affairs, and Sustainability at Ithaca program to implement energy- and resource-saving upgrades to equipment and infrastructure. In addition, the team works to develop strategic plans to achieve measurable greenhouse gas emissions in keeping with the College's Climate Action Plan. The team also supports educational programming for dining staff and consumers to enlist their support to further conserve resources.
