Policy statements are in place regarding reductions of hazardous, universal and non-regulated chemical waste.
The Ithaca College Comprehensive Environmental Policy supports reductions of such waste and mandates proper handling and disposal.

In addition, the Office of Public Safety department of Environmental Health and Safety provides additional guidance and support on proper safeguards for using and handling such materials.

In addition, EHS staff conduct employee safety training sessions, inspect areas for work safety practices, monitor and sample workplace environments for indoor air quality and/or personal chemical exposures.
