A brief description of each certified dining hall or food service outlet, including the year the certification was achieved and/or renewed:
JMU Dining Services achieved the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) Chain of Custody certification first in April of 2014 for two residential dining locations, EHall and DHub. Attached is the current certificate (issued April 14, 2017) at time of submission of JMU's STARS report. There are two species EHall and DHub can market as MSC Certified because of the certification: cod and pollock. Multiple times throughout the fall and spring semesters, JMU Dining Services will host MSC or Sustainable Seafood-themed meals highlighting the MSC Chain of Custody and educating students about the importance of sustainable fishing.
