A brief description of the policies and procedures that ensure community stakeholder engagement is applied systematically and regularly across the institution’s activities:
Career and technical programs at the college each have an Advisory Board composed of area experts and potential employers to provide guidance on how the programs are serving/not serving the needs of area employers in terms of job training and/or supply of new employees. This also ensures we are providing the best service to our students with an education that can lead to employment. Organization, operation, functions, goals and objectives of advisory boards at the college are laid out here:

The JCCC Foundation has three stakeholder committees. Each spring 6-8 diverse individuals are brought aboard to serve on these. Wanting to represent a cross-section of the community, new members are considered for their age, ethnicity, gender, employment field, special interests, community involvement or influence. These individuals are nominated either by self or others. The Board Development Committee (below) will select the finalists and these will be approved by Board of Trustees.
Board Development Committee - duties include ensuring Board organizational structure and identifying priorities for composition of Board.
Investment Committee - monitor the management of short and long term investments of the Foundation.
Resource Development - Set priorities for fundraising programs and review performance such.
