A brief description of the institution’s efforts to support alternative fuel and power technology in its motorized fleet:
JCCC has not adopted a formal policy to support the adoption of alternative fuel and/or power technology in its motorized fleet. A hybrid (Prius) and plug-in EV (Fusion) were purchased to be used as driver's education vehicles with the cost premium above a standard automobile being covered by the Sustainability Initiatives Fund. The same fund also provided capital to purchase an all electric utility vehicle that is primarily used to haul recycling and compost material around campus.
